JASENOVAC: THE HOLOCAUST'S UNTOLD STORY
The Jasenovac death camps run by the fascist regime in the Independent State of Croatia during World War II was the third largest death camp complex in the war. Its story however has been neglected by most Holocaust discussions and institutions. By some estimates as many as 700,000 Serbian, Jewish and Roma men, women and children, as well as Croatian anti-fascists, were murdered there. This forum examines some of the questions surrounding this camp and the outside forces involved in its operations. It will also shed light on the upcoming trials of Dinko and Nada Sakic, Commanders of the men’s and women’s camps respectively, who have lived the past fifty plus years in comfort in Argentina. This event is a rare opportunity to hear the views of a survivor and one of the world’s leading authorities on this largely ignored tragedy. with presentations by
