In Loving Memory of
Nada Ljubic
In Memoriam
Journalist, Humanitarian, Director of JRI
Our beloved and most valuable colleague, Nada Ljubić, passed away in September 2024.
Nada was a journalist by profession, but far more than that - she was a courageous, principled, and indomitable woman whose heart and life’s work were dedicated to truth, justice, and remembrance. For over two decades, she served as the Director of the Jasenovac Research Institute (JRI), where she tirelessly organized survivor testimonies, educational events, and public commemorations that kept alive the memory of those who perished in Jasenovac and other places of suffering.
Her passion for historical truth and her unyielding dedication to the mission of JRI were unmatched. She brought people together with grace, humility, and unwavering resolve, becoming a moral compass for our organization and a beloved friend to many.
Nada’s legacy will continue to inspire generations. Her voice, her vision, and her compassion will never be forgotten.
May her memory be a blessing and her soul be forever at peace.
